Privacy Policy

1. Summary

Algonex Games ("we", "us") operates algonex.xyz. This policy explains what data is involved when you use the site. In short: we do not require an account, we never ask you for a name, email address or payment details, and we do not sell personal information. The two places data does flow to third parties are the embedded games themselves and our advertising partner — both are covered below.

2. What we collect

We do not operate accounts, forms or newsletters, so we hold no directly identifying information about you. Our hosting provider processes standard technical request data on our behalf — IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, referrer and timestamp — in order to serve pages, detect abuse and keep the service available. These server logs are retained for up to 30 days and are not used to build a profile of you.

Legal basis, where the UK/EU GDPR applies: legitimate interest for the security and operation of the site (Art. 6(1)(f)), and consent for non-essential cookies including personalised advertising (Art. 6(1)(a)).

3. Cookies and local storage

Algonex itself sets no tracking cookie of its own. Two other categories may still appear in your browser:

  • Game storage — an embedded game may use cookies or local storage to remember your progress, settings or high score.
  • Advertising cookies — set by Google and its partners, as described in section 5.

Clearing your browser's site data for this domain removes anything stored locally. You can also block third-party cookies or third-party frames in your browser settings, though some games may then fail to save progress.

4. Third-party games

The games listed on Algonex are developed and hosted by independent third parties and are embedded on our game pages inside an iframe. When you press play, the game loads directly from the provider's servers. That provider therefore receives your IP address and browser information, and may set its own cookies or local storage. Those providers act under their own privacy policies, which we neither control nor monitor. See our third-party content disclaimer for more detail.

5. Advertising and personalisation

Algonex Games is funded by advertising. We use Google, including Google AdSense, as a third-party advertising vendor.

  • Google uses cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads on this site, including ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
  • Other third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads here and set their own cookies.
  • We do not give advertisers your name, email address or any account data, because we hold none.

Opting out of personalised ads

You can turn off ad personalisation for your Google account or browser at any time:

Opting out stops ads being personalised; it does not remove advertising from the site. Where local law requires consent for advertising cookies, a consent prompt is shown before any non-essential cookie is set, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time through the same prompt.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Because we hold no account data, there is normally no profile to export or erase — but if you believe we hold data about you, contact us at the address in section 10 and we will respond within 30 days.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information for monetary consideration. Ad personalisation can be switched off using the links in section 5.

You can also stop all data flowing to a game provider simply by not opening that game.

7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We run no cross-site tracking of our own, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track header to disable on our side. Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we pass it to our advertising partner as an opt-out of sale or sharing.

8. International transfers

The site is served from a global content delivery network, and our hosting, game and advertising providers operate servers outside your country, including in the United States. Where those transfers involve personal data originating in the UK or EEA, they rely on the providers' own safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Children

Our catalogue is intended for a general audience and this site is not directed at children under 13, or the minimum age set by local law where that age is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not request personalised advertising for users we have reason to believe are children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child's information has reached us, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes and contact

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page, and material changes will be highlighted on the site. Questions about privacy, a data request, or a request to remove content can be sent to [email protected]. See also our Terms of Service and About page.
